Best Rated Roomba Vacuums

This Roomba is one of the best rated vacuums on the market. It has the strongest AI obstacle avoidance we've seen, as well as mopping technology that has dual rubber brushes that are less prone to tangling than bristle ones.

It utilizes random (or bump) navigation instead of vSLAM, which can take longer to clean but ensures that each room is adequately covered. It has a long battery life and is effective on both hardwood and carpet flooring.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

This helps it clean rooms and avoid obstacles. The iRobot App allows you to customize your cleaning preferences and receive recommendations based on the seasons, your home, and even your personal preferences. (For instance it could suggest running it more often during the season of allergies). The high-efficiency filter of the robot traps 99 per cent of allergens like mold, dust mites and fur from cats and dogs. It also has cliffand edge-sweeping sensors and four brushes (including an edge brush two multi-surface long brushes and two multi-surface long multi-surface brushes), and an edge-to-edge tracker to keep it in its route.

During our testing the i3+ EVO was capable of Revolutionize Cleaning with iRobot Roomba j9+ our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to easily move between rugs and carpets, and then back. It also had no problem moving over the wooden and metal trim that separates flooring types. It did however bump into a few items like shoes, handbags and toys, but it was able to maneuver around them. It also missed a few areas of dirt on our carpeting however it was able to pick up hairs from other areas.

While it's a good option for homes with carpeting however, the i3+ EVO is not as efficient as the other models when it comes to picking up crumbs and heavier debris. It's not able to clean pet hair from carpeting, and may not be the best option for those looking to replace their conventional vacuum cleaner with an automated. Also, it lacks the superior obstacle-avoiding capabilities of premium Roombas, such as the j7+ and s9+, which could make it more likely to fall into pet waste and smear it on floors.

2. Roomba j7+

This is a great robotic vacuum for those who have carpet and hard floors. Its most notable feature is obstacle detection that smartly avoids things like cords, furniture legs, and even pet debris. It also does a great job at cleaning hard floors and picking up long hairs that get stuck in the brush.

Like other robots unlike other robots, the Roomba j7+ can adjust its suction power. This is possible through the app. It also comes with an excellent map editor and a section for favorites. The j7+ is also very quiet, particularly when it comes to more expensive flooring options. It is able to keep up with vacuuming manually.

iRobot’s higher-end bots are recognized to perform better than their lower-end counterparts. In our tests the j7+ was able to collect more dirt on both hard and carpeted surfaces than the 694 and also was more efficient in crevices. The only problem was that it did not perform as well in the longer human hair test, which is common with all robots.

The j7+ is equipped with a self emptying Clean Base, which automatically transfers dirt from its bin into a dirt bag when it docks. This helps reduce the requirement for manual maintenance and is great for allergy sufferers. The j7+ can also be connected to iRobot's Braava Jet M-Series robot mop through its Imprint Link function and will then automatically resume mopping when the vacuuming process is completed.

3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is an interesting machine to watch. It follows a specific pattern, much like how a lawn care professional trims a field prior to the start of a sporting event. It will occasionally return to the dock to empty its trash bin or recharge its batteries. This self-emptying feature is an improvement over the way robot vacuums work and reduces the need for hands-on maintenance.

It also has a great amount of suction power, pulling up dirt and pet hair effortlessly. Even on carpets with a high pile it is able to remove the majority of debris in a single pass. It also can identify areas that are prone to traffic and stay there. This is especially helpful if your children and pets are bringing in a lot of trash from the outdoors.

Smart Mapping is another great feature. It lets the i7+ to learn the layout of your home and create a floor map that you can customize while it vacuums. It took me four one-hour sessions to fully map out my two-bedroom home however, once it had done, it was able to navigate the space in a rational manner and efficiently. You can further modify the mapping via the app by adding virtual boundaries and giving rooms names. This means that you can schedule the i7+ to sweep around the cat's litter tray each morning, or stay clear of the sofa in the living area after everyone has gone to sleep.

The i7+ also comes with a sidebrush as well as a tangle-free spinning squeegee that are perfect for picking up any debris that would otherwise fall to the ground. It also has a battery with Recharge and Resume technology, meaning it can pick up right where it left off during an earlier cleaning session when you let it charge.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is an excellent entry-level robot that is ideal for anyone looking to make their home more tidy, without the advanced automation features that more expensive models provide. It can recognize your habits of cleaning and suggest cleaning schedules. It also integrates with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants so you can begin a cleaning session by just giving a command.

The dual multi-surface brushes clean dirt from carpet and hard floors and the edge-sweeping one cleans corners and edges. The battery will last for 90 minutes and docks back to the Home Base when it runs out.

A large Clean/Power button lies in the middle of the top panel with Home and Spot buttons to the left and right. The indicator for the battery level glows orange when charging, and then green when the robot is powered up. The dustbin slides into robot's back and can be released by pressing the button.

The Roomba 694 is a fantastic job of navigating bare floors and sucks up large debris like rice and cereal, though it struggles with small particles like baking soda and tends to overflow the dirt container as it fills up. It doesn't do better on carpets with low pile, but it still gets higher scores than other robot vacuums in this price range.

It's very effective in picking up hairs from pets. However, some hair strands might get caught on the side brush. The poor performance of the 694 on cat litter is also a cause of worry, even though it still scored as high as the other robots in this class. It beat our top pick (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 is a bit more expensive than the eufy RoboVac 30C, but it feels sturdier-made and has less maintenance requirements and has lower recurring costs, charges much faster, maneuvers over obstructions with ease, and delivers superior performance on bare floors and high-pile carpet. It has a bigger bin and can be used without an internet connection.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s model is among the most Affordable robot vacuum robot vacuums on the market. It's also a great option for those who want a reliable and simple machine. This model is able to clean dust, pet hair and other debris on both low-pile and hard floors. It also has a decent job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim profile makes it easy to get under low-clearance furniture like coffee tables, couches and other furniture. It is also one of the quietest robot vacuums that we have tried.

But that's about it This is one of the most minimalist models we've seen, and it lacks some features found on more expensive models. There's no app for it, so you will need to manually set the timer with the remote control. It also doesn't provide an alarm for battery levels or a dust bin alert, so you'll need to monitor its condition and empty it when you need to.

Despite its price the model is very well-built and easy to maintain. It has a long battery lifespan, and it performs well on floors that are unfinished and around obstacles. In our tests it was able to overcome obstacles with low levels, such as electrical cords with greater ease than the Roomba 694 or Shark Ion robots, but it had trouble with carpets with high pile.

While the eufy 11s may be superior to the ONSON GOOVI F007, we suggest an option that is more expensive when you can afford it. The iRobot Roomba 694 has a longer battery life, is more simple to maintain and has a lower costs for recurring use. It also performs better on bare floors and in maneuvering around furniture, and has a much larger dustbin.
