During our tests, we observed that the i7+ was able to perform well on both hardwood flooring and low-pile rug. It was incredibly thorough and left no dusty debris left behind. It also did a good job in tackling the cereal test, where it sucked up several large chunks and pieces of milk that dispersed from the bowl.

While the i7+ does a great job however, its battery life of just 2 hours isn't enough for most multi-room sessions. The i7+ has a limited dustbin capacity. It does have an extra bin system.

Another downside is the i7+'s tendency to become entangled in long hair and rug tassels which you'll have to manually wash out every so often. Its app lets you check the status of your i7+, schedule cleaning times, and more. It has a full bin sensor that warns you when your bin is getting close to be empty. The app also offers the option of labelling rooms as well, which is a great feature for pet owners or children with hair sheds.

Irobot Alexa 694

The Roomba 694 robot vacuum is an excellent option if you do not need to spend an excessive amount of money. It's got a long battery life and is smart enough to know when cleaning is complete. It can be programmed to run at a set time and will even return to its dock once it's done. You can also schedule it to run while you're away from home, using the iRobot App or a third-party automation system like August, Ecobee or Leviton.

The 694 sports the 694's black, brightly reflective top, with matte plastic along the edges. A green "Clean button" is located in the middle. It also has strong suction on hard floors and can clean multiple surfaces at once. However the i3 EVO doesn't seem as effective at cleaning carpets and does not have the object-avoidance capabilities of the premium J7+ Combo or the s9+.

Like the i1+, the i3 EVO is pet-friendly and features dual multi-surface brushes that can adjust and flex to stay in contact with both carpets and hard floors, without getting stuck in knots. Its filtration system can remove 99.9 percent allergens that come from cat and dog dander. It's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant so you can make use of your voice to control it. It's easy to create a schedule for cleaning, check the battery level and view the history of cleaning. You can also receive app updates.
