The i7+ is a wonderful device however, its battery life of 2 hours is not enough to last for multi-room sessions. The i7+ comes with only a small capacity for the dustbin. It does have a separate bin system.

The i7+ is also susceptible to getting caught in long hair or rug tassels. You'll need to manually wash it every now and then. The app lets you check on the i7+'s status and schedule cleaning times and much more. It also has a bin full sensor that will notify you when your bin is close to empty. The app allows you to label rooms. This is very helpful for those with long haired pets or children.

iRobot 694

The Roomba 694 is a great alternative if you don't want to invest a lot of money in an automated vacuum. It's battery life is excellent and is smart enough to know when cleaning is finished. It can be programmed to run at a certain time and then return to its dock after it is done. You can also program it to run while you're away, using the iRobot App or a third party automation system such as August, Ecobee or Leviton.

The 694 sports the bright, reflective black top with matte plastic around the edges, and a green "Clean" button in the center. It also has a powerful suction for hard floors and is able to clean multiple surfaces at once. The i3 EVO doesn't have the same features for object-avoidance as the J7+ Combo and s9+.

The i3 EVO is, like the i1+ is pet-friendly with dual multi-surface brushes that adjust and flex so that they stay in contact with carpets and hard floors without becoming stuck in knots. The filtration system is able to capture 99.9 percent allergens from cat and dog pet dander. It is compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it with your voice. And it's easy to set up a cleaning schedule and view its battery level as well as its history of cleaning and receive app updates.
