It's one of the best vacuums on the market. The only issue we found is that it tends to shut itself down when it encounters a situation it isn't sure how to handle. This was evident several times during our tests, and was particularly frustrating when it tried to transition from rug to hardwood.

It's still a solid choice for a majority of people. It lacks the smart features of more expensive vacuums. It isn't connected to WiFi or come with an app, and it has an interface that feels like an old model from 2005. It does, however, respond to Alexa voice command and can run for a period of up to 90 minutes the battery.

It also does a fantastic job of maneuvering in and around obstacles. For instance, it easily found its way under our couch using the dust ruffle and in and around our table legs, which is more than I can say for some of the more expensive models we've examined. The only issue is that it doesn't work well with larger transitions between rugs and hardwood.

In our lab tests, the iLife V3S Pro finished its cleaning runs in an average of one hour and 31 minutes and 1 second. That's a full 40 minutes slower than the Eufy RoboVac 11's average and more than 40 minutes slower than the Shark Ion R85's. It does a decent job for less than $200. It's probably the best robot vacuum to purchase if you have pets and need to do light upkeep of rooms that have hard surfaces with carpets that are thin. It takes an extended time to charge, and it can be caught on objects, but these are the only downsides you'll encounter with an item with a low budget.

The Roborock Pro Q5

The Q5 Pro robot is a mid-range model that offers excellent value for money. It utilizes Roborock's newest cleaning technology, which includes a new DuoRoller brush for better hair-pickup performance, and 5,500Pa suction power that effortlessly tackles messy debris. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR navigation, which creates precise maps of your house and helps you locate flooring and furniture within your rooms.

Its layout algorithm is among the most consistent that I've seen and it can save maps from room to room. Once it's saved a map, the Q5 will confidently navigate through your space, and it can maneuver around chairs and other obstructions easily. It has a 770ml wide dustbin on board that can handle pet hair and other tough materials with ease.

The "Mark Areas To Avoid feature lets you mark off areas that you don't want the machine to cross. This feature is useful if you know that certain areas require special attention. The app is loaded with useful automation features, too, allowing you to schedule cleaning appointments and use the remote to perform manual vacuuming when needed.

The Q5 does not have an integrated mopping feature unlike some other robot vacuums I've tested. It's not a huge issue, since the cleaner is more effective on plain floors. However, it could be a deal breaker when you have carpets.

The Q5 did a great job of removing the mess that was on my floor, from dried grass and mud, to sand and dust from the beach, and other household clutter. The suction power of 2700Pa was able to capture all the dirt, and the exhaust of the vacuum did a fantastic job of removing fine allergens, too.

The Q5's appearance isn't as elegant and refined as the iRobot Roomba i8+, however, it's more durable than the less expensive model I tried and comes with a larger dustbin which can hold up to seven weeks of trash. The device also has an auto-emptying dock that will automatically empty the bin when it finishes a clean which allows for maintenance that is hands-free.

The Roborock Q Revo

It's not cheap however, the Roborock Q Revo is one of the most advanced robot vacuum and mop sets available. This particular model utilizes the same kind of artificial intelligence used in self-driving cars, to avoid hitting obstacles and navigate around furniture. This is known as Precise LiDAR navigation and offers an extremely quick 3D and 2D mapping. The Q Revo can also identify carpets and other barriers, and it even allows users to create a map of different floors within your home.

As with most robot vacuums as well, the Q Revo requires occasional upkeep. It is important to clean the metal contacts and the structured light sensor beneath the unit. Cleaning them regularly will stop the vacuum from getting stuck and will keep the sensors functioning at their full capacity for a longer time. You'll also want to clean your mop pad system occasionally, too.

The Q Revo's main selling feature is the fact that it can mop and vacuum at the same time. The spinning disk mops of the Q Revo are located in the rear of the device. To access them, just flip the robot over and squeeze two clips. The Q Revo is equally impressive when it comes to vacuuming it is able to work on both carpets and hard floors. It can even vacuum cleaner for carpet floor debris and dust that has been trapped in rugs and does a fantastic job of reaching into low pile and shag carpets.

In reality, the one area where it is struggling is with larger particles like flour or coffee grounds. While this doesn't affect the overall performance of the vacuum however it would be nice to see the vacuum take care of smaller pieces of debris more effectively.
