The external dustbin has a slightly greater capacity.

Furthermore the Shark EZ doesn't feel as intuitive as the Roomba iRobot 694. The Roomba is more durable, has a longer battery life, and recharges faster. It is also able to perform better on carpets and unfinished floors, and it can also overcome obstacles such as power cords with ease.

AI Ultra Robot

Shark AI Ultra comes in various configurations. It's a sleek Robot Vacuum Mops vacuum. This particular model has mopping functionality, allowing it to cover the entire surface area of your floors. It's also a sophisticated vacuum that uses Matrix Clean Navigation for a thorough clean of your entire home. Its powerful suction will clean up dirt and debris on all types of floors such as vinyl, hardwood, tile and carpet.

The robot's maneuverability is fantastic, allowing it to navigate around furniture, electrical cords and other obstacles easily. It's not able to map a 2-story home, which means you'll need to carry it manually up and down. Its LIDAR sensor is also somewhat tall, which means it can't clean under couches and TV stands. It does a good job of climbing over rugs though.

It's not the best to pick up pet fur, which can get wrapped around the brushroll but not sucked into the dirt compartment. It's also loud, with a sing-songy melody that starts when it cleans.

The dirt compartment of the vacuum is easy to empty. It has three power settings, including Eco mode which is energy-Efficient Cleaning Perfection: Shark IQ Self-Emptying Robot and a default mode "Normal mode" and a high-power Max mode. It also has an observation window on its docking station that displays when the dirt bins are full.

If you're a frequent user of pet hair, it could be worth buying the HEPA filter for pre-motor and post-motor separately. The company recommends that these filters be replaced after three years.

The HEPA filter is a bit more complicated to replace than the pre-motor filter. The HEPA filter must be removed from the base, and then cleaned with warm water and an a moist rag. You'll also need to change the vacuum's cleaning solution regularly, as it will get worn out over time. The vacuum doesn't come with replacement bags for the mopping pad or dirt compartment. The Matrix did well in our tests on both carpets and hard floors. It can remove fine dust and pet hair easily even when working around tight corners and edges. Its noise level is quite low, too. We were able to continue conversation at a moderate volume while it was running.

One of our most loved features in the app is the capability to set up cleaning schedules. We have ours set to run every other day at 9:30 AM, and it's done automatically without us having to lift a finger. You can also schedule an on-demand cleaning through the app, but this must be manually selected from a home map instead of being scheduled in advance.

In terms of overall durability, the Matrix is similar to other shark robot vacuum with self empty base robot vacuums we've tested in this category. The body is constructed of high-quality, tough plastic, with rubber wheels. The two side brushes snap into place out of the package The only other arrangement is to plug into the charging sprongs at the bottom.

The Matrix's 360-degree vision quickly and accurately creates a map of your home to ensure the cleanest and most efficient possible. It is able to keep away any objects in its way, regardless of whether they are on the same level or not. Matrix Clean further enhances its precision by sweeping all surfaces using an exact grid and making multiple passes. This ensures that no spot is left unclean. And when it's time to empty the base, the Matrix makes use of a different kind of bagless system that doesn't need replacement bags like its competitors. The only downside of the IQ XL is that it isn't the most quiet or reliable robotic vacuum on the market. It can also be lost and return to the same rooms over and over or miss certain areas in your house. Its navigation and mapping aren't the best either, but if you are willing to take a few precautions before each run--like picking up cords and other messes-ups--the IQ XL is an excellent option for cleaning hands-free. It is also less expensive than a lot of other models. Its main competitor is the iRobot Roomba j7+, which offers a similar experience, but with more features and a lower price tag.
