3 Wheeled Buggies

A 3-wheel buggy is great for off-roading and tackling terrain, from bumpy pavements to woodland tracks. They are also more easy to manoeuvre up and down kerbs than models with four wheels.

Stability

With four wheels and a centre of gravity that's balanced by weight of your child's seat, buggies with four wheels are generally considered to be more stable than three-wheelers. But that doesn't mean an older model with three wheels isn't worth considering, as the majority of these models are made to cope with anything from rough terrain to bustling high-streets.

If you intend to take your three-wheeled buggies off the roads that are asphalted it is recommended to choose an option that has pneumatic tyres. They can handle even the most difficult terrain. They may have to be filled from time to time, but they will be more durable and puncture-proof compared to solid tyres. Choose a model that has a the ability to lock the swivelling wheel on the front to aid you in navigating difficult surfaces.

Having a single front wheel can also mean that three-wheelers tend to be heavier than buggies with four wheels when folded. Check that the model you choose fits inside your car's boot and can be placed in a straight line if needed. Some models fold using one hand, and they can be rearranged when folded.
