It also comes with a huge under-seat storage space and an adjustable shoulder strap which makes it easier to lug around when not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be a bit noisy which can disturb children who are asleep.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller that is also a compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The back basket under the seat features a spring-loaded mechanism, which means you can pull the basket down to place a backpack or diaper bag and it will then pop up to secure its contents. It comes with a child's accessory holder and an adjustable seat pad that reclines. This is more than what you see on a typical light stroller.

It also comes with a canopy that can be closed and opened to achieve the sun protection level you desire. The handlebars are height-adjustable to ensure a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't so impressed with the quality of its ride on rough terrain. We found that the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

It's an ideal travel stroller because it comes in the box fully assembled, and requires only few steps to get it in use. The seat can be moved forward and backwards to alter the recline, which is pretty much flat. Two buttons on the frame make it simple to fold and unfold. And it fits into a very convenient carrying bag when not in use. It's actually one of the most compact strollers we tested, and it meets most airlines' requirements for cabin storage or gate-checking on planes. Just be sure to make sure to check with your airline prior to when you travel, as rules can differ. This stroller is a great option for those who require a stroller that is lightweight for travel. It comes with all the features parents would want in a stroller, including all-terrain wheels and front suspension for an easy ride. It's also incredibly light, at less than 12 pounds. It also has a handy fold that is self-standing and one-hand. It has two cups holders on each tray to accommodate the child and parent.

The quality, however, is a little too low and it did not score well in our maneuverability tests. It has a flexible frame which makes pushing it across rough surfaces feel like lifting heavy weights. It may be fine if you use the stroller only on paved sidewalks. But for most people, it's not a good choice.

Cloud Plus Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy and a peek-a-boo window for additional sun protection. The seat is multi-position and can hold children up 50 pounds and features a five-point safety restraint. This is a great choice for older toddlers who have outgrown their infant car seats.

It is compact and folds in one step. It can be collapsed by pressing an appropriate button. It also has an easy, foot-activated break that is easy to create and then release.

The handle is lower than the majority of the strollers we have tested however some parents may find it uncomfortable to use for long periods of time. The handle locks in position when it's opened. This is an excellent feature to have in case you are going to be using the stroller over uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents who are on the go. This ultra-compact single umbrella stroller is a breeze to fold down and up and easily fits in overhead compartments on planes as well as in trunks at the amusement park (no need to worry about parking fees). It comes with a carry bag that zips up for easy storage. It can be used from birth with the infant car seat adapter, and offers a good amount of sun protection by way of its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only drawback for some parents is that they find the design uninspiring and utilitarian.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single standing stroller strollers however, it was created specifically for luxury urban and travel. It's one of the most easy strollers to fold, and comes with a handy carry case. It's got plenty of storage space as well as a cupholder. The seat is comfortable for both the child and the adult, and reclines to a near-flat position. This is the only stroller on our list that has a car seat adapter to allow it to be used with a newborn. The handlebar cannot be adjusted, and may be an issue for parents who are taller.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it comes with many amazing features that help kids travel more easily. The large seat reclines to a pretty flat position, and it comes with extra padding so that those naps on the plane last longer. The canopy extends to provide plenty of sun coverage, and the parent tray has plenty of storage. It also comes with a spring-loaded handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. This footrest, however, is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy's Minu V2 is a top stroller that doesn't compromise on quality and design. Its compact design makes it easy to navigate through tight spaces and narrow sidewalks, but its sturdy structure allows it to withstand rough terrain without compromising the safety of your child. The spring-action suspension at the front and back creates an even more comfortable ride and its sturdy materials will stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. It can also be expanded to accommodate other accessories such as an infant car seat.

In our testing in our tests, the Minu was easy to fold and move around even with a child in hand. Its squat almost square fold that folds into thirds, is among the most simple folds we've seen and allows it to easily fit into overhead compartments on planes or in public transportation. It has a single fold pushchair-action, color-coded brake that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it easy to find your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ hood came down quite a ways and was perfect for protecting Cora's eyes from sun (though not as low as some other strollers). There's also a medium-sized mesh peek-a-boo window that closes magnetically and adheres to the canopy instead of using noisy Velcro.

At just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry using its built-in carry handle and shoulder strap. It can also be stowed in the trunk of your vehicle. It comes with a storage bag as well as access to the Uppababy TravelSafe program, which adds two years onto the manufacturer's warranty and covers replacements for any items damaged during travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is the well-known brand of strollers, produces a variety of models. This light-weight model is a good choice for parents who are looking for a workhorse stroller that carts children around, provides ample storage, is easy to move around and doesn't require an engineering degree to fold. This model isn't suited for those looking for a double stroller or a car-seat compatible model. It does not accept infant car seats. Your babies should be able to sit upright on their backs before you can use it.

This stroller comes with a number of solid features and an impressive price tag. It earned a higher score in our maneuverability review than other strollers with similar specs, and it's an excellent option for smooth pavements. It comes with a large parent tray, a canopy and plenty of storage. The handlebar is a bit smaller than the average, and the front wheel suspension is stiffer however it's comfortable for adults.
