Travel strollers aren't much lighter or more compact than this one. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a stylish rectangle shape and the wheels are easier to turn than others.

The stroller also has a large storage area under the seat, as well as an adjustable shoulder strap that makes it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be a bit noisy, which could disturb children who are asleep.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its size. The back basket under the seat is spring loaded, so you can pull it down to put bags for diapers or backpacks in, and it will open up to keep the contents. It has a child accessory holder and an adjustable reclining seat pad. This is more than you would see on a typical light stroller.

In addition, it has an excellent canopy that is able to open and close to provide the sun-protection you require, and the handlebar can be adjusted in height in four positions to provide a more comfortable fit. We weren't so impressed with its performance on rough surfaces. We felt that the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

It's a perfect stroller for traveling because it arrives in a box that is fully assembled, and requires only a few steps to make it set to use. The seat can be pushed forward and back to adjust the recline. It's a bit flat. Two buttons on the frame make it simple to fold and unfold. It also fits in the perfect carrying bag when it's not being used. It's actually one of the smallest strollers that we tested and it easily meets most airline requirements for gate-checking and storage in the cabin on planes. Just be sure to make sure to check with your airline prior to when you travel because rules may differ. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is a great option to those looking for a stroller that is lightweight. It comes with everything parents would want in a stroller. This includes all-terrain wheels and front suspension to ensure an easy ride. It is also incredibly lightweight at less than 12 pounds. It folds in one hand and stand up on its own. It has two cups holders on each tray to accommodate parents and children.

Its build quality isn't very excellent, and it didn't do well in our test of maneuverability. It is a slender frame which makes pushing it on rough surfaces feel like lifting heavy weights. This might be fine if you only use the stroller on smooth paths, but for the majority of people, it's likely to not provide a comfortable experience.

The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy with a peek-aboo window to provide additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat accommodates children up to 50 pound and has five points of safety restraint. This is a great option for older toddlers that have outgrown their infant car seats.

It features a one-step, compact folding mechanism and can be collapsed with just a touch of a button. It also has a convenient, foot-activated break that is easy to install and release.

The handle is lower than the majority strollers we've tested, and some parents might be uncomfortable using it for long periods. It does have the ability to lock the handle to keep it in place while open, though. This is a good feature to have if you are going to be using the stroller on uneven or muddy terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal stroller for parents who are always moving. This ultra-compact stroller folds down and up easily and can be tucked away in the overhead compartments on planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to fret about parking fees). It comes with a carrying bag that zips up for convenient storage. It is able to be used from birth with the infant car seat adapter and provides a decent amount of coverage in the sun by way of its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside is that some parents consider the design to be uninspiring and cheap.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single strollers, but it was designed specifically for luxury urban living and travel. It's among the easiest strollers that fold (and includes a convenient carry case) and offers plenty of storage space, including a cup holder. The seat is comfortable for both the adult and child, and reclines to a near-flat position. This is the only stroller on our list that can be used for infants with the car seat adapter. Some parents with short legs may not appreciate the handlebar that does not adjust.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it comes with many amazing features that help kids travel more easily. The spacious seat reclines into a flat position, and it comes with additional padding to make those airplane napping sessions more comfortable. The canopy extends to provide excellent sun protection, and the tray has plenty of storage. It also has an adjustable footrest that can double as a handle when it's folded. This footrest is vulnerable to being damaged by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is an elegant stroller with high-end design and quality. Its compact size makes it easy to maneuver narrow streets and tight spaces, however its robust construction means it can withstand rough terrain without compromising your child's safety. Front and rear spring-action suspension creates a more comfortable ride for both of you, while its sturdy materials ensure it can withstand the wear and tear of everyday life without losing its shape. It can also be expanded to accommodate other accessories such as a bassinet and infant car seat.

In our tests, the Minu was a breeze to fold and move around, even with a baby in hand. The squat fold, which splits into three parts, was one of the easiest we tested. This makes it possible to fit easily in overhead compartments in airplanes and on public transport. It also has an automated brake with a color coded single-action that is simple to use.

The seat reclines in multiple positions, and the leg rest can be adjusted using one hand, making it a breeze to find your child's perfect position. The UPF 50+ canopy is lowered quite far to shield Cora's face from the sun. There is also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window which closes magnetically, and is glued to the canopy instead of using noisy Velcro.

The Minu weighs in at just 15 pounds, and comes with a built-in handle for easy transport. It also comes with a shoulder strap. It can be tucked away in the trunk of your vehicle, and comes with a storage box and Uppababy TravelSafe which extends the warranty of the manufacturer by two years and provides repairs if the item is damaged during air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is the well-known brand of strollers, produces several models. This stroller is light and an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a sturdy stroller to transport their children. It is simple to move, has plenty of storage space, and is easy to fold. This model isn't suited for those looking for an extra stroller or a car seat compatible model. It won't work with infant car seats, and your children will need to be able to sit on their own before you can use the stroller from day one.

This stroller has some solid features and a price. It scored higher on our maneuverability test than other strollers with similar specifications. It's an excellent choice for smooth paved surfaces. It also has a lovely canopy and plenty of storage, including a large parent tray. The handlebar is smaller than average and the front wheel suspension is more rigid but it's still comfortable for adults.

If you have twins or two kids of different ages, you might find that a side-by-side stroller is the best option to get them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which has a variety of features and a narrow footprint that can fit in places that other side-by-side alternatives won't.

It features reclining seats that are individually adjustable as well as a large canopy that has a peek-a-boo window and tons of storage. It's a bit heavier than other side-bysides but it has a decent weight capacity and can accommodate most children weighing up to 50lbs. It is possible to add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller for newborns.
