It's simple to push, and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the ultimate lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as for jet-setters. The Xplore also comes with two canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or large as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels solid and sturdy however it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competitors, and it does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking a budget-friendly secondary travel stroller. It scored well in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to lift and store in a trunk for your car. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other key features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers that we tried, but it's not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doorways. The sunshades it has were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it is missing some critical features we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller, like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

The Zelia is the newest addition to Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a carrycot and seat by just only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base and a reversible carriage.

It's really easy to maneuver and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the huge shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out of the seat quickly. Despite being a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position or swivel. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel while walking along the stony path. It handled the situation well, although it seemed to be a bit more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is known for their three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also have a wide selection of 4-wheel strollers. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It folds easily and can fit into the car's boot even with a carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers that we tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-made. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain. It's easy to carry, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods that get turned back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has an ample basket that is deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of food. It can also be linked with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents everywhere. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It comes with a variety of notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy, a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. It was easy to push and our tester was able to maneuver the car through tight streets.

It folds in four simple steps and automatically locks without fuss. It can also be rolled and raised for easier transportation down the stairs or in the car's boot. The travel system is also offered with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes have one action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also extremely light and durable. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress built in that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro, and can wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg max per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be set towards the parents. This should reduce sibling arguments about who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large gear tray with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also comes with a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.
