We weren't so impressed with the quality of its ride on rough surfaces. We felt that the suspension and wheels did not do a good job of absorbing bumps and shocks.

It is compact and folds down in one step. It is able to be collapsed by pressing a button. It also features an easy, foot-activated break that is easy to set up and release.

The handle is lower than many of the strollers we have tested and some parents may be uncomfortable using it for long periods. It does have the ability to lock the handle to keep it in place when open however. This is an excellent feature to use the stroller on uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents who are on the move. The compact stroller folds up and down easily and can be tucked away in the overhead compartments on planes or trunks at amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It also comes with an easy-zip carrying bag that can be easily stored. It can be used from My Babiie MB30 Pushchair Birth to 4 Years with the infant car seat adapter, and provides plenty of coverage in the sun thanks to its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside is that some parents find the style to be uninspiring and cheap.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller is more expensive than other light single strollers. However, it was specifically designed for pushchairsandprams urban living and luxurious travel. It's among the easiest strollers to fold (and comes with a handy carry case) It also has a nice amount of storage space, including the cup holder. The seat is comfortable for the adult and child, and reclines to a near-flat position. This is the only stroller in our list with an adapter for car seats to allow it to be used with infants. Some short parents may not appreciate the handlebar that does not adjust.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, however it is packed with amazing features that assist parents in traveling with their children. The large seat reclines to a flat position, and comes with extra padding that will make those airplane naps last longer. The canopy that can be extended has plenty of sun coverage, and the parent tray provides plenty of storage. It also has an adjustable footrest that can double as a handle when it's folded. The footrest is susceptible to being damaged by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

The Uppababy Minu V2 is a top stroller that doesn't skimp on design or quality. Its compact size makes it easy to maneuver narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its robust construction means it can handle rough terrain without compromising the comfort of your child. Front and rear spring-action suspension creates a noticeably more comfortable ride for both of you, and its robust materials ensure that it can stand up to everyday wear and tear without losing its shape. It can also be extended to accommodate other accessories such as an infant car seat.

In our tests, the Minu was a breeze to fold and maneuver even with a child in hand. Its squat, almost square fold, that folds into thirds, is among the most simple folds we've seen and allows it to easily fit into overhead compartments on planes or in public transportation. It has a single-action, color-coded brake that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in a variety of positions and the leg rest can be adjusted using one hand, making it easy to determine your child's ideal position. The UPF 50+ canopy can be lowered quite far to shield Cora's face from the sun. There is also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window that closes magnetically and adheres to the canopy instead of using noisy Velcro.

At just under 15 pounds at just under 15 pounds, the Minu is easy to carry with a built-in carry handle and shoulder strap. It can also be stored in the trunk of your vehicle. It comes with a storage bag as well as access to the TravelSafe program offered by Uppababy that provides two years of manufacturer's warranty. It also covers repairs for items damaged in the course of air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy, the well-known brand of strollers, produces various models. This light-weight model is a great choice for parents looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport children around, provides ample storage, is simple to use and doesn't require an engineering degree to fold. This model is not suitable for those who need a double stroller or a car-seat compatible model. It doesn't accept any infant car seats, and your babies must be able to sit up independently before they can use this stroller from the first day.

This stroller comes with a number of solid features and an impressive price. It was awarded a higher score in our review of maneuverability than some other models with similar specs, and is a great option for smooth pavements.
