This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk of a car. It also comes with a multi-position reclining seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested, but was nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. It's lacking certain features we believe are essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

It's a breeze to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out quickly. Despite this being quite a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in an forward position or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate during our walk on a stony path. It handled the situation well, although it seemed a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, jogging strollers. However, they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than other strollers that we tested but the wheels are a rubber composite, so it feels sturdy and sturdy. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's also a breeze to lift, even when loaded with two children and a shopping bag.
